The Haute-Loire region is located in the South of Auvergne. It is an
area with a rich historical past and offers a variety of breathtaking
scenery. It is here, dominating the Loire valley, that you will find an
exceptional spot: Le Domaine de Bonnefont.
This isolated farmhouse will be the point of departure for many
magnificent treks on horseback. You will discover the paths along the
still pristine valleys of the Allier and Loire rivers, and savour the
sensation of galloping along the wide tracks going across the
Devès, Meygal and Margueride plateaus.
This is also the setting for our horse breeding farm where Haidouck, our superb stallion ensures the quality of the next generations.

Three different themed trails:
We spend 7 entire days on horseback discovering the countryside and its history.
In the tracks of the beast takes us to the Gévaudan
area, a journey into the past and the mystery surrounding the
terrifying beast. We also discover the grandiose setting of the
Margueride plateau.
The river and its moods leads us along the narrow Loire
Valley, not far from the source of this last untamed river. We will
enjoy the magnificent scenery and hear about long forgotten battles and
quests. There will also be time out for a refreshing dip.
The Transcevenole meanders its way across valleys and
mountains connecting the Haute-Loire with the Cevennes. One can only
marvel at the dizzying heights and architectural genius of the viaducts
along this phantom railway line.
